Nashville Trees & Gardens was founded by Josh Rennie-Hynes, who grew up on a small farm in Australia, where he developed a lifelong appreciation for the land and its diverse flora and fauna. After completing a four-year apprenticeship, Josh became a fully qualified Carpenter, applying his skills to environmental construction projects throughout Australia’s national parks.
He later earned a Certificate IV in Conservation and Land Management, gaining hands-on experience in tree and plant identification, invasive weed control, habitat restoration, large-scale native plantings, and riparian restoration. Working closely with landowners, he helped achieve both ecological and aesthetic outcomes across a range of projects.
Since moving to Nashville eight years ago, Josh has worked as an Arborist & Landscaper, developing a deep understanding of the region’s trees and ecosystems while learning the inner workings of tree ethics, care and landscaping. His work blends craftsmanship, science, and care—helping clients bring their outdoor vision to life while fostering healthy, sustainable landscapes.
